The Church in Nairobi,
Kenya, has many believers. They have thousands of people ready to serve
God among their loved ones and neighbors and effectively transform their
communities in the name of Jesus. But what they do not have is enough
training and resources.
Servant Partners
is working closely with Kibera Reformed Presbyterian Church and church
planter/Pastor Imbumi Makuku in Kibera on the west side of Nairobi,
one of sub-Saharan Africa’s largest slum
communities.
We’re helping provide training events where people with international
experience gather with Nairobi pastors to help them, as Pastor Makuku
puts it, "to be fed and taught and encouraged." In addition
to training opportunities, Servant Partners is helping Daybreak Word
& Deed Ministries, the non-profit arm of the church, by fundraising
to support new church plants in Kenya, as well as by recruiting and
training support personnel. Presently,
Daybreak members meet for monthly fellowship, prayer, and accountability.
The ministry will soon have two libraries available for slum pastors.
We need believers
who can help with transformational ministries and in the training and
development of leaders and pastors.
