Who We Are
Honduras Puerta al Mundo was started in 2005 with a vision to serve both trans-culturally and interdenominationally by sending Hondurans to work in places around the world where people have not heard or know of the love of God through Jesus Christ.
Our Vision
We are an evangelical interdenominational mission agency that is dedicated to helping the local Honduran church send missionaries in obedience to the Great Commission.
Our Mission
We are dedicated to working and cooperating with the evangelical Honduran church to send missionaries to the cities, towns, and villages where people have not heard the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our Programs and Services
To the local church:
- Promote a transcultural vision.
- Help individual churches form intercessory groups.
- Lead concerts of intercession for the world.
- Inform the local church about missionaries in the field, opportunities for service around the world, and the process to send missionaries.
To the missionary:
- Send funds to the missionary once they have arrived to the field.
- Be a bridge of communication between the missionary and the local church.
- Distribute monthly missionary correspondence to their donors and intercessors.
- Coordinate the missionary’s visits to their home country.
- Provide both spiritual and pastoral counseling.
To the prospective candidate:
- Facilitate transcultural training.
- Provide orientation in raising funds.
- Promote the missionary project throughout the local church.
- Evaluate the candidate for his/her commitment to the mission field.
- Provide visa and immigration assistance.
Ways to Support Puerta al Mundo
You can be a part of supporting the local Honduran church by becoming a member of Honduras Puerta al Mundo. By giving monthly, you are supporting Honduran Missionaries in the field, missionaries in the process of preparing for the field, and in the administration of the agency to promote and maintain a Honduran Missions office.

Puerta al Mundo has a sister agency in El Salvador called MIES and a partner agency in the United States called Servant Partners. You may give to the ministry of Puerta al Mundo on-line through Servant Partners. When making your donation please specify that your donation is designated for Puerta al Mundo. All the funds collected through Servant Partners are sent monthly to Honduras Puerta al Mundo.
