for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly;
defend the rights of the poor and needy."

About Servant Partners

Over the past century, our world has seen millions of people migrate to cities to seek a better life, to find employment or to flee turmoil such as famine or war. This influx of people has caused our mega-cities - some with more than 25 million people - to painfully swell in numbers and needs. The poor in these cities are thus destitute and without the basic elements of life, much less the freedom and joy of the gospel of Jesus. The future of the world, and thus the future of ministry and missions, is in the city.

Jesus spent most of his time in the cities of Israel. In urban centers he cried with those in pain, lived among those on the fringes of society. He ate with them and taught them. He ministered to them in love, compassionately tended to their spiritual and physical needs.

At Servant Partners, we seek to mirror the life of Christ and we're responding to this global shift. Servant Partners develops and sends holistic church planting teams to cities around the world. Like Jesus, we forego the pursuit of comfort and instead dwell among the outcast. In community we cross class and ethnic boundaries to form partnerships so that together we might be light in dark and difficult places.
